RIIZE Garners Praise For Impressive Performance At Recent Event Apperance

The RIIZE members are earning praise for their recent university music festival performance.

On May 24, 2024, a post titled "RIIZE dancing to 'Siren' at Kyunghee University festival today in real time" was uploaded to one of South Korea's most popular South Korean online community forums, TheQoo.

In the post, the original poster shared a tweet from someone who watched RIIZE during their latest performance at Kyunghee University. The boys were seen performing their single "Siren," impressing many with their powerful and energetic moves. "Siren" features a hard-hitting and intent choreography, but all the members performed with maximum energy.

What is truly noteworthy is that the members had just landed in South Korea following activities in the United States. In the tweet, the user wrote, "No, but are these really kids who just returned from LA? They were flying around the stage dancing to 'Siren' though?"

Previously, RIIZE was busy with activities in the United States. On May 23, RIIZE was seen celebrating Korean Heritage Night at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. On May 22, they received a plaque of appreciation from the LA City Council, and the day prior, they performed a concert for their fancon tour.

Before landing in LA in May 17, the members were in Mexico for their tour.

Despite their busy schedules and possible jet lag, the members of RIIZE did not falter during their performance. While performing "Siren," the members were even heard asking the crowd to scream, making sure to hype up the audience at the performance.

And their efforts did not go unnoticed. Korean netizens applauded the members for a job well done, commenting that they looked cool. Others commented that the dance looked extremely difficult, joking that they were tired just watching RIIZE perform.

Many also showed their concern for RIIZE, noting how harsh their schedules are.

Some criticized RIIZE for not singing live, but many rushed to their defense. Many pointed out how difficult the dance was, so it makes sense why they opted not to sing at some parts. However, for the rest of their set, RIIZE mostly sang live.

Some comments read,

  • "They did great. I will never get tired of 'Siren.'"
  • "They are so cool."
  • "They all did well. Sohee's voice stood out so much. There were so many people that I gave up trying to be at the front, but when we heard Sohee's voice, everyone went 'wow!'"
  • "It's impossible to sing live in 'Siren.' It's tiring to perform, so some parts are live and others are not. Anyway, this is basically live. If you watch their fan cam, you can see everything for yourself. What's the point of nitpicking?"
  • "Their schedule is f*cking harsh."
  • "Wow, the choreography looks f*cking hard. They did great."
  • "No, but they just came back from LA this morning and are dancing like this... It's crazy. Singers who live off of fans' energy are the best."
  • "Wow, I'm tired just watching them. The fact that RIIZE performed this well is amazing."
  • "Their energy is amazing. RIIZE did so well."
