K-pop fans are calling out ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin for inserting herself in NewJeans's merchandise.
On July 15, 2024, an X (formerly Twitter) user that goes by Rin (@rin134340) called out Min Hee Jin for including herself in NewJeans's merchandise. Their tweet included a fansite-taken photo of Haerin wearing the group's merchandise, featuring drawings of the members and Min Hee Jin illustrated by Murakami Takashi.
did that woman really put herself on her group's merch??? 💀 pic.twitter.com/5yKOIsTwwF

While it was noted that the shirt is not actually for sale from the same Bunnies (NewJeans's fandom), that hasn't stopped some fans from hoping it does go on sale. However, not everyone agrees. Others called out the CEO for trying to insert herself in all of NewJeans's activities.
so apparently this shit isn't for sale and their stans are very sad about it 😬 pic.twitter.com/XcuaVlIHB4

genuine question are tokkis not weirded out by this? bc lets ask ourselves what reason is there for a ceo to try this hard to make herself an integral part of the groups brand https://t.co/nhnl0T0tgn

Many called out Min Hee Jin for manipulating the members of NewJeans and the public into thinking the group could not exist without her. Some accused Min Hee Jin of living vicariously through the girls, with many even going as far as to accuse Min Hee Jin of grooming the members into thinking she could do no wrong.
this lady is openly manipulating the girls + the public into thinking the group cant exist without her and its their own fans agreeing and egging her on, just disturbing

It’s very weird. She’s living vicariously through these girls and it’s so obvious she’s groomed them to the point that she can do no wrong in their eyes. This is why idols should not be this young. Read that they often slept at her house as trainees too. No boundaries at all

It was noted that this is not the first time Min Hee Jin included herself in things meant for NewJeans. In 2022, she gifted the members microphone cases with their names on them; however, she also had one made for herself despite not being a singer. In another instance, she gifted the girl group necklaces, but also had one made for herself.
When she gave new jeans matching earphones with names on their cases in 2022 she also made one for herself.

At that time she also got necklaces for them but that necklace comes in 6 colors so I always wonder if she got one for herself. I got called crazy back then for saying it. pic.twitter.com/E9iyr4SfrH
Others wondered what was next, with some joking that her photo cards might be included in NewJeans's next album. Many joked that she might be gearing up for her debut as a soloist under ADOR.
Her photocards be the next in that gg's new cb. Yall wait & see.

However, Bunnies have defended Min Hee Jin from the hate. They stated that there is no actual problem since it is not official merchandise that can be purchased by the public. The fans slammed the K-pop community for spreading fake news without verifying the facts.
It’s not official merch, again, like we’ve been saying. It was literally a gift from murakami for the members & I’m assuming mhj for their collab. Y’all have got to stop assuming things without actually verifying first. pic.twitter.com/sdipliKE7e
