MAMAMOO member Moon Byul is building excitement for her upcoming solo comeback after unveiling a series of teaser images for her third single, "REV," set for release on Mar. 25 at 6 p.m. KST.

On Mar. 11, Moon Byul dropped her second rap image for "REV" through MAMAMOO's official social media channels. The photo shows the singer wearing a bold red racing suit while gripping a steering wheel, creating a dynamic visual that highlights the speed-themed concept of the single.

The image followed her first rap image released on March 10, which featured Moon Byul in a chic all-black outfit inspired by techwear, paired with leg warmers and smoky makeup. In both photos, she delivers intense eye contact with the camera, showcasing what Korean media described as "overwhelming charisma," according to allkpop.

"REV" carries the meaning of "increasing the engine's rotational speed," and Moon Byul is fully leaning into a racing concept for this release. Her agency, RBW, has been building comeback momentum by rolling out promotional materials in sequence, including a scheduler, lyric spoilers, and the rap images.

A logo motion video released alongside the initial comeback announcement in early March featured a keyring with the silhouette of a sports car and the sound of a revving engine.

The single marks Moon Byul's first new music in about four months, following her digital single "S.O.S," which was released in November 2025. "S.O.S" expressed the emotions of unrequited love through an upbeat rock sound, Star News Korea reported.

Before that, she released her fourth mini-album "laundri" in August 2025. RBW said "REV" will "deliver intense energy" and allow Moon Byul to demonstrate her skills as an "all-rounder artist" covering vocals, rap, and performance.

Ahead of the single's release, Moon Byul will hold a special two-day concert titled "Moon Byul CONCERT [MUSEUM: village of eternal glow - Live House]" at Nodeul Island Live House in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on Mar. 21 and 22.

The concert serves as the closing performance of her Asia tour, which visited six cities, including Singapore, Macau, Kaohsiung, Tokyo, and Taipei. Meanwhile, MAMAMOO is also preparing a full-group comeback in June 2026 to celebrate their 12th anniversary, followed by a world tour, as per chosun.
