As BTS's Jimin approaches his military discharge on June 11, 2025, fans worldwide are organizing celebratory events to honor his service. In Yeoncheon, where Jimin has been stationed, fan groups have initiated various supportive activities.
The fan union "Park Jimin Preservation Society" has launched bus advertisements running from June 1 to June 30, covering routes from Jeongok to Yeoncheon and the military base. Additionally, from May 30 to June 11, they plan to display 100 sets of streetlight banners. Another fan group, "Jimin Apple Music Team," in collaboration with international fanbases like "PJM Hungary" and "TEAM JIMIN AUSTRALIA," will install 230 sets of streetlight banners. They also plan to hang large placards on Yeoncheon's only pedestrian overpass from June 5 to 11, featuring messages such as "We've been waiting for this day when Jimin comes to catch us♡" and "We're proud of you! Welcome back, Jimin!♡".
Previously, the "Jimin Apple Music Team" implemented the "Jimin mini bus stop" project, establishing a mini bus stop near Jimin's military base, providing a resting spot for soldiers and local residents. The bus stop features a yellow bench and bus parking guide sign, symbolizing Jimin, and has been well-received by the local community.
Jimin has been recognized for his exemplary military service. He received the division commander's commendation as the best trainee during basic training and was selected as an "elite soldier" last June, leading to an early promotion. He is scheduled to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
