K-pop girl group aespa's upcoming summer comeback details have been unexpectedly leaked through a fan discovery on a major U.S. retailer's website, showing the group's new album title as Dirty Work with a scheduled release date of June 27.

The accidental leak has generated significant buzz among fans, particularly because SM Entertainment previously confirmed the girl group's June comeback plans without providing specific details. In May, the agency stated that aespa was preparing for a comeback, with a target date of June but kept album information under wraps.

This upcoming release marks the group's first Korean comeback in about eight months since their fifth mini-album Whiplash dropped in October 2024. The leak also suggests Dirty Work will be the group's sixth mini-album, with physical versions expected to include at least one edition called Dirty Worker.

The leak comes amid growing anticipation for aespa's comeback, especially following recent sneak peeks of their preparations. In early May, alleged footage from a music video filming session surfaced online, showing members Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle in striking outfits including fur coats, crop tops, and cargo pants. The leaked video revealed Giselle sporting red hair and captured choreography being filmed in a desert-like location with backup dancers.

Fan reactions to the Barnes & Noble leak have been mixed, with some expressing excitement about the reveal while others voiced frustration over the unofficial nature of the information. The listing was shared widely on social media platform X, where fans debated whether to celebrate or criticize the premature timing of the news.

The sharing of the leak coincides with other recent developments for the girl group, including member Karina's brief political controversy in late May, which resulted in an apology and statement from SM Entertainment. Despite various challenges, aespa continues building anticipation for their comeback with fans waiting for official confirmation of the leaked details.

SM Entertainment has not yet officially confirmed whether or not the Barnes & Noble listing information is real. However, the consistency of the June 27 date across multiple sources and the retailer's credibility led fans to believe the leaked details.

The group, consisting of Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning, has established itself as one of the leading fourth-generation K-pop groups since its 2020 debut. Their upcoming Dirty Work album release promises to continue their innovative musical approach that has characterized previous hits like "Black Mamba," "Next Level," and "Savage."
