K-Pop boy group BTS released its first live album, Permission To Dance On Stage – Live, at 1 p.m. KST on Friday, July 18.

The 22-track collection captures performances from the group's 2021-2022 "Permission To Dance On Stage" tour stops in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, preserving the roar of stadium crowds for listeners worldwide.

BigHit Music said the record "vibrantly captures the passion and touching moments of the concert" and aims to help fans "relive the memories" they shared with BTS during the tour. The shows included in the album drew about 4 million in-person attendees and online viewers across 12 dates, making the series one of the largest hybrid events held during the pandemic.

The album opens with an explosive live version of "ON" and races through fan favorites such as "Fire," "Dope," "DNA," "Black Swan," and "Spring Day." Global hits "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Permission To Dance" appear in special tour arrangements that add brass sections and live-band flourishes, while "IDOL" and "FIRE" have been rebuilt with heavier instrumentation to match the energy of the crowd. Each track is presented as it was heard onstage, complete with ad-libs, member banter, and the collective chant of ARMY.

Alongside the digital and streaming release, BTS issued "BTS Permission To Dance On Stage – Seoul," a companion package that offers a 141-minute HD video of the tour's final Seoul performance and a 92-page photobook with behind-the-scenes interviews. Fans can get their hands on the footage through a digital code on Weverse, the group's official community platform.

"Permission To Dance On Stage – Live" arrives one month after all seven members—RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—completed their mandatory military service. During a July 1 livestream, the group confirmed work has begun on a new studio album and a large-scale world tour planned for spring 2026, marking the next chapter of their career.

As the first official live album in BTS's 12-year discography, the latest release serves as both a keepsake of the tour that bridged the pandemic and a preview of the septet's full-strength return. Streaming is now available on major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, while digital downloads can be purchased through official retailers.
