
Korean drama enthusiasts in Malaysia were treated to an exciting weekend as stars Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ka Young made a special appearance for their recently concluded 12-episodes drama, Law and the City. The two-day whirlwind visit included a private fan screening of the show's final episode and a red carpet event on 10th August at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, that drew thousands of adoring fans of the actors who played passionate lawyers Ahn Ju Hyeong and Kang Hui Ji in the slice-of-life legal drama, as well as a press conference on 11th August, where the two actors shared insights into their latest project and experiences.
Both Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ka Young exuded charm as they discussed their reasons for choosing to star in 'Law and the City'. Moon Ka Young enthusiastically stated that the opportunity of working with Lee Jong Suk and the strength of the script were her primary motivations. Lee Jong Suk shared a different perspective, revealing his interest in portraying a character within a slice-of-life setting.


The conversation then shifted to their filming experience in Hong Kong. Despite the sweltering heat, both actors fondly recalled filming the scenes in a positive and new experience, as well as creating a lot of good memories. Moon Ka Young even reminisced about indulging in delicious local egg tarts while Lee Jong Suk mentioned enjoying a comforting hotpot.
Reflecting on their favourite moments from the drama, Lee Jong Suk shared that he particularly cherished the scenes where the cast members were eating together on several occasions, as it fostered a genuine sense of camaraderie and friendship. Moon Ka Young praised Lee Jong Suk's leadership on set, highlighting his efforts in ensuring good chemistry among all the actors. In return, Lee Jong Suk complimented Moon Ka Young's stable and easy-going nature, which made their collaboration seamless.
Looking ahead, both actors shared updates on their upcoming projects. Moon Ka Young excitedly announced an upcoming movie release and a plan for an Asia Fanmeeting tour, promising more opportunities to connect with her fans. Lee Jong Suk revealed that he is currently involved in the production of a new drama titled 'The Remarried Empress', leaving fans eager for his next on-screen appearance.
