The October K-pop comeback season just got even busier with both BOYNEXTDOOR and Hearts2Hearts confirmed to return next month.
BOYNEXTDOOR: HYBE's Rising Boy Group
On September 10, Soompi reported that BOYNEXTDOOR is in the final stages of preparation for a new album release in October. Their agency, KOZ Entertainment, confirmed the news, stating: "BOYNEXTDOOR is preparing with the goal of an October comeback. We will officially announce the exact comeback date at a later time."
This will be the group's first comeback in five months since dropping their fourth mini album No Genre in May, which showcased their playful, genre-blending sound.
BOYNEXTDOOR, a six-member boy group under HYBE's sub-label KOZ Entertainment (founded by rapper-producer Zico), made their debut in May 2023 with the single album WHO! Featuring the title track "One and Only." The group quickly earned praise for their refreshing, youthful energy and relatable lyrics, appealing to fans both in Korea and internationally.
Their discography so far highlights a mix of bright, upbeat tracks and experimental sounds, aligning with their reputation as one of the most promising next-generation boy groups under the HYBE label family.
Hearts2Hearts: SM Entertainment's 5th-Gen Girls on the Rise
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment's youngest girl group Hearts2Hearts is also gearing up for a return in October with their very first mini album. SM Entertainment later confirmed: "Hearts2Hearts is preparing with the goal of making a comeback in October. They are currently working hard to prepare, so please look forward to it."
The five-member group made their official debut in February 2024 with the digital single The Chase, which introduced their bright and youthful concept. They followed up just four months later with STYLE, a digital single that emphasized their fun-loving charm and helped solidify their place among K-pop's rising 5th-generation girl groups, Naver reported.
As SM's newest act, Hearts2Hearts has been attracting attention for their polished performances and strong vocal line, with many fans eager to see how their sound and image will evolve with their first full-fledged mini album.
