Epic Games has confirmed a crossover between Fortnite and the global hit Netflix phenomenon "K-Pop Demon Hunters," bringing the trio of HUNTR/X band members, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, into the battle royale as purchasable cosmetic skins.
The collaboration launches on October 2, with new content appearing across Fortnite's Item Shop, limited-time mode, and creative tools.
The HUNTR/X outfits for Rumi, Mira, and Zoey will be available for purchase in the Item Shop, each accompanied by matching accessories and themed emotes. These character skins feature select styles inspired by sequences from the animated Netflix film, which has become the platform's most-viewed original title. Players can acquire each outfit individually or opt for bundle offers that include back blings, such as Mira's spicy ramyeon and Zoey's golden bubble shield, and pickaxes modeled after Rumi's demon-hunting sword.
In conjunction with the skin release, Fortnite has reimagined its annual Halloween survival event. The Horde Rush mode returns under the new name Demon Rush, running from October 2 through November 1. In Demon Rush, solo and squad-based teams recruit one of the Demon Hunters as an AI ally, wielding unique powers, like Zoey's Bubble Shield, to fend off swarms of faceless demons. Between each wave, players can collect HUNTR/X-inspired perks, mirroring the film's blend of pop-star spectacle and supernatural combat.
Beyond playable modes and cosmetics, the collaboration extends into Fortnite Creative. Epic Games is providing unrestricted access to "K-Pop Demon Hunters" assets, including character models, demon adversaries, and film-inspired props, enabling creators to build custom maps, story-driven missions, and melee-focused islands without publishing limitations. This open licensing encourages fans to integrate the Demon Hunters' lore into unique experiences and share them with the community.
The "K-Pop Demon Hunters" collaboration follows Fortnite's recent partnerships with other major entertainment properties, including Power Rangers and Gorillaz. By integrating HUNTR/X into both battle royale and creative modes, Epic Games aims to tap into the film's massive fandom and offer fresh ways to engage with the franchise. With its combination of vibrant K-pop aesthetics, theatrical fight sequences, and interactive gameplay, the crossover highlights Fortnite's ongoing strategy of blending pop culture and live events.
As players dive into Demon Rush and hunt demons alongside Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, the collaboration is poised to extend Fortnite's appeal during the Halloween season and showcase the potential for future cross-media partnerships.
