Shuhua from K-pop group i-dle has worried fans after revealing that her chronic back pain has deteriorated to the point where she sometimes requires a wheelchair for mobility.

The 24-year-old member made the announcement during the group's recent two-day concert in Kobe, Japan, which took place on October 18 and 19, 2025, at GLION Arena Kobe.

During the concert, Shuhua spoke candidly with the audience about her health struggles. She explained that her back pain had recently worsened significantly and apologized for not being able to perform at her usual capacity. The singer shared that both her physical condition and mental state were being affected by exhaustion, telling fans she might not be able to greet them properly after the show because her body simply would not allow it.

Fans at the concert observed Shuhua appearing to struggle through her performance. Some attendees noted that her movements looked labored at times, with one concertgoer posting on social media that chronic back pain can be debilitating, expressing hope that Shuhua would be alright.

In a particularly emotional moment, Shuhua addressed concerns about how her condition might affect her fellow members. She urged fans not to be sad if they saw members like Minnie or Yuqi looking somber because of her situation, saying it would break her heart even more and make her feel it was all her fault.

The i-dle member also revealed details about her medical treatment and its side effects. She disclosed that the medication she is taking can cause weight gain, which has led her to lose weight in advance as a preventive measure. Shuhua reassured fans that if she appears thinner in future appearances, it is part of managing her treatment and not something to worry about.

This is not the first time health concerns have sidelined Shuhua. In February 2024, her agency Cube Entertainment announced she would temporarily suspend all activities due to persistent dizziness stemming from a decline in her physical condition. The agency stated at the time that despite Shuhua's determination to continue working, they prioritized her health and recovery.

Before closing her message to fans at the Kobe concert, Shuhua promised to continue receiving thorough medical checkups and asked for understanding and trust from her supporters.
