NMIXX's latest title track, "Blue Valentine," climbed to the top of Melon's TOP 100 chart on October 20 at 11 PM KST, marking the group's first-ever No. 1 on the platform and ending the lengthy reign of "Golden" from Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack.

Released on October 13 as the lead single from their first full-length album of the same name, Blue Valentine debuted at No. 51 on the chart before steadily ascending to No. 2 by the morning of October 20 and ultimately seizing the top spot later that night.

This feat makes NMIXX the first JYP Entertainment girl group to claim No. 1 on Melon's TOP 100 since TWICE's "More & More" in June 2020, underscoring the group's rapid growth and growing influence in the K-pop landscape. Prior to this breakthrough, NMIXX had established a record of steady improvement on domestic charts, with earlier singles like "Love Me Like This" peaking at No. 4 and "See That?" and "Young, Dumb, Stupid" reaching No. 25 and No. 29 on Melon's daily rankings, respectively.

Industry observers note that dethroning "Golden," which had dominated the chart for weeks, highlights the intense public interest surrounding NMIXX's comeback. "Golden," performed by the fictional group Huntr/x in the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," had become a cultural phenomenon and a near-unstoppable force on streaming charts since its release earlier this year. Fans celebrated the momentous shift online, with many praising NMIXX's vocal prowess and the emotional resonance of "Blue Valentine."

Members of NMIXX expressed their gratitude to Once, the group's dedicated fanbase, through messages on official community channels. Leader Haewon shared, "We are so thankful for the love and support that pushed us to this moment. 'Blue Valentine' means so much to us, and to see it reach No. 1 so quickly is a dream come true." Lily added, "This achievement is for our fans who have believed in us from day one. We hope this is just the beginning of a new chapter for NMIXX."

"Blue Valentine" is built around a poignant pop-rock arrangement that showcases the members' harmonies over a stirring chorus, with lyrics exploring love's bittersweet emotions.

The song's rapid climb was mirrored across other domestic platforms: it topped Bugs' daily chart on October 19 and secured the No. 2 position on the weekly Melon chart covering October 13–19. The accompanying album also performed strongly, debuting at No. 1 on Hanteo's weekly album chart for the same period.
