South Korean actor and singer Kwon Hyun-bin will enter the Marine Corps Training and Education Command on November 24 to begin his mandatory military service, his agency Ghost Studio announced on October 24, 2025.

Following the completion of basic military training, the South Korean star will fulfill his national defense obligations as a member of the Marine Corps. His agency also confirmed that his enlistment will proceed as a private occasion without an official ceremony, citing the nature of military enlistment events involving numerous military personnel and their families.

Kwon's agency expressed gratitude for the outpour of public support, stating in their official statement: "We are grateful for all the love you send actor Kwon Hyun Bin, and we ask that you warmly cheer him on until the day he returns healthy and even more mature after diligently carrying out his military service."

Before his enlistment, the star launched his entertainment career as a model before transitioning into acting and music. He gained significant recognition after participating in Mnet's survival program "Produce 101 Season 2" in 2017. Following his appearance on the show, he later debuted as a member of the project group JBJ, which consisted of participants who gained attention during the same season.

His acting career began in 2017 with roles in various productions. Kwon has since appeared in numerous dramas and films, including "The Red Sleeve," "Pandora: Beneath the Paradise," and "Love, Andante." Most recently, he starred in the horror-thriller film "4:44: Time of Fear" and the Lifetime drama "Love, Andante" in 2024.

Beyond his acting endeavors, Kwon has maintained an active music career, releasing solo albums under the stage name VINI while continuing his work as an entertainer across both television and film industries.

Kwon's enlistment occurs as part of the ongoing trend of entertainers born in 1997 completing their mandatory military service during 2025. South Korean law requires all able-bodied male citizens to serve approximately 18-21 months in the military. Stars born in 1998 are expected to begin their enlistments in 2026, with many already announcing their service plans.
