Singer-actor Jung Yun-ho shared a rare glimpse into his personal life during the November 14 episode of SBS's "My Grumpy Secretary." As cast members Lee Seo Jin and Kim Kwang Kyu prepared the VIP treatment for the show's sixth "my star," Yunho, the conversation took an unexpectedly personal turn.
The star revealed that years ago, he was involved in a dating scandal with another celebrity—a relationship he says lasted quite a while, All Kpop News reported.
Why He Told His Agency He'd Marry Young
Yunho explained that during that period, he was so serious about the relationship that he openly told both his teacher and his agency that he planned to get married in his 20s.
He said he didn't want misunderstandings within the company, especially because he genuinely liked someone at the time. His frankness reportedly surprised everyone around him.
"In the past, I was involved in a scandal with a celebrity. My relationships have always tended to last a long time. Honestly, I really wanted to get married early. At the time, I told my teacher and the company president, 'I'm going to get married in my 20s.' I didn't want any misunderstandings with the company, and since there was someone I liked, I said I would get married," U-Know Yunho shared, as quoted by Maeil Business Newspaper.
According to Yunho, his teacher told him the idea itself was fine—just that he should wait a bit before having children. Looking back, Yunho admitted his intentions were sincere, but the relationship ultimately didn't last.
