BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim's agency has announced that it is pursuing strong legal action against malicious online posts and false rumors that have been spreading about the idol on social media and online communities.
OA Entertainment, also known as Odd Atelier, released an official statement on Mar. 9, saying it had recently detected a steady rise in false information, defamatory content, and malicious slander targeting Jennie across various platforms.
The agency said these posts, many of which are based on groundless speculation, have repeatedly harmed the singer's reputation through the spread of unverified claims. It also stressed that some content goes beyond criticism and clearly aims to damage Jennie's image and invade her privacy, according to Soompi.
According to the statement, OA Entertainment is now closely monitoring online communities, social media sites, and other digital spaces to collect evidence of harmful behavior.

The company said it is reviewing "various legal measures," including both civil and criminal proceedings, against individuals who create or spread posts that infringe on the artist's reputation, rights, portrait rights, and other intellectual property rights. The agency added that it has already begun working with legal experts to prepare formal complaints.
The label made clear that it will take a zero-tolerance approach in these cases, noting that there will be no leniency or settlements with offenders, GMA Network reported.
OA Entertainment also urged fans and the public to submit screenshots and links to malicious posts so they can be included as evidence in ongoing and future legal actions. In its message, the agency thanked fans for their support and promised to continue taking strong steps to protect Jennie from online abuse.
This is not the first time Jennie's agency has moved to address harmful content. In 2024, Odd Atelier issued a similar warning and pursued legal action over fake publications and posts that spread false claims by impersonating Jennie's father, as well as content involving defamation, sexual harassment, and malicious slander.
The latest announcement shows the agency's continuing effort to draw a firm line against cyberbullying and misinformation involving the BLACKPINK member, as per allkpop.
