Jay Park Reaches No. 1 On Billboard World Albums Chart With 'I Like 2 Party' Despite Minimal Promotions

Jay Park may have done limited promotions abroad, but in just over a week's time, his new EP has climbed to the top spot on the Billboard World Albums chart.

On July 19, Jay Park's latest EP, I Like 2 Party, appeared at number one on the Billboard World Albums chart, just over a week after its release.

Sidus HQ, Park's label, revealed on Friday that the single album and its title track "I Like 2 Party" have been gaining a lot of international attention despite the singer's extremely limited promotions abroad.

Since being released on July 10, the EP's title track has also risen to the top of iTunes rankings around the world including the US, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

The song and mini-album's popularity can be partially credited to the hype surrounding the title track earlier in the summer when it was specially chosen by Hollywood actor Will Smith to play with the ending credits to his latest movie After Earth for its Korean release.

Additionally, the song's catchy beat and fun melody have been said to make it the perfect addition to the rotation at dance clubs this summer.

Meanwhile, Jay Park recently re-signed his contract with Sidus HQ and has been attracting a lot of attention outside of music for his participation in SNL Korea.
