BTS Rap Monster Covers Drake... And Does It Very Well!

Rap Monster, leader of Bangtan Boys (BTS), released a very special treat for his fans over the weekend, a cover of Drake's "Something."

Rap Monster, whose real name is Kim Nam Joon, displays his versatility and vocal talent in this updated Korean version of the song.

"Something" is a slow, passionate R&B tune where Rap Monster proves he is not someone to be overlooked.

Masterfully done, the song is simple and intoxicating, much like Drake's original.

The rapper-singer updated the track with his own lyrics and also mixed it himself, resulting in a sexy new image for the BTS leader.

Rap Monster is the frontman of rookie hip-hop group Bangtan Boys. The group officially debuted in June of this year with 2 Cool 4 Skool and the title single "No More Dream."

Recently, they have followed up with their second EP O, R U L8, 2? (Oh, Are You Late, Too?) and the song "N.O" on September 11.

"Something" is not the first time members of BTS have released their own covers of American songs.

Prior to their debut, Rap Monster, Jin, and Suga teamed up for a version of Kendrick Lamar's "Drank" called "School of Tears." The song is commentary on modern society and its tendency towards contradiction.

"Young, Wild and Free" by Wiz Khalifa also got an update in the hands of BTS members J-Hope, Jungkook, and Jimin who renamed it "Graduation Song."
