Yuna Kim To Debut New Program After Injury As Mao Asada Goes To The 2013 Grand Prix Final: Olympic Champion Arrives In Zagreb, Croatia For Golden Spin!

After sustaining a foot injury, Yuna Kim is set to debut her new short program and free skate at the 2013 Golden Spin in Zagreb!

"I've been slowly working myself back to competitive shape," said Yuna Kim after sustaining a metatarsal injury which sidelined her for six weeks.

"Honestly, I feel that I need to improve my conditioning for the Olympics, which is the most important competition there is, but there is still some time to do that."

According to NBC, Yuna Kim confirmed she was "80 to 90 percent" back to perfect health.

And while Yuna Kim will not be a part of the 2013 Grand Prix Final alongside rival Mao Asada, Kim will be competing at the 2013 Golden Spin in Zagreb during the exact same weekend. In Croatia, Yuna Kim will debut her new program, "Send in the Clowns" as well as her free skate, "Adios Nonino."

"('Send in the Clowns') is sung by a woman who misses her lover who left," said Kim according to NBC. "At the first time I heard it, I wanted to perform with this song sometimes."

In addition, Yuna Kim will use "Adios Nonino" by Astor Piazzolla, choreographed by David Wilson.

"This is my last competition program as a player (skater), and I'm so happy that I chose the song that I've always wanted to do. I'll try my best to show as great performance as fans are expecting from me."

And as Yuna Kim fans eagerly anticipate her new program debuts, Mao Asada will head to the Grand Prix Final alongside five other top contenders ahead of the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Mao Asada, Ashley Wager, Julia Lipnitskaia, Elena Radionova, Anna Pogorilaya, and Adelina Sotnikova will compete for as the top six figure skaters in the women's discipline during the Grand Prix season.

Sadly, a showdown between Yuna Kim and Mao Asada will have to wait until the Sochi Olympics next year.
