Sharks VS Hurricanes Live Stream: Watch Online Free Friday 7:10 ET NHL's Best Offense Battles Carolina's Red-Hot Goalie

Sharks vs Hurricanes live stream: Watch online free Friday 7:10 ET as Carolina is coming off a victory last night while San Jose struggled.

The first place 19-4-5 Sharks will be in the middle of a four-game road trip vs the 12-12-5 Hurricanes. Justin Peters might have become the first-string goaltender for Carolina as he allowed one goal vs the Capitals and two against the Predators. Watch the free live stream online to see if he can stop the most prolific offense in the NHL.

The Sharks average 3.36 GPG, but assuming Peters gets the start for the Hurricanes, it will be a rematch where he stopped 35 shots in February last year against San Jose.

San Jose was trying to become the second team this season to win its 20th game, joining the Chicago Blackhawks, but last night's game ended in a 5-1 loss vs the Pittsburgh Penguins, which snapped a six-game winning streak.

"I saw some frustrated players, and with the amount of hockey that we've played and that we have to play on this road trip, I didn't think frustration was a real good emotion to have with two periods left," coach Todd McLellan told CSN Bay Area. "So we mixed them around a little bit and hopefully saved a little bit of energy for tomorrow, because we didn't use much tonight."

Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk had two goals and four assists over the past six games and recorded his first three-point game Thursday, including a goal in the opening 23 seconds.

"Any time you can establish good play or good momentum early in the game, let alone a goal, is always huge," Faulk said. "You don't go into the game expecting to score on your first shift or your first shot on net, but obviously when you do that it kind of gives your team a little bit of a boost."
