Hwayoung signed a contract with Wellmade STARM.

One representative of Wellmade STARM said, "We decided that Hwayoung has potential as an actress and signed the contract with her. She will be showing many sides that she hasn't shown before through her acting."

They continued, "We know that many fans are waiting for Hwayoung to come back. She is currently preparing hard to be a good actress so please be patient."

Hwayoung debuted as a member of T-ara in 2010 but left the group.
