Nick Jonas and his girlfriend, former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, is going to heat up the screen as he films his newest music video shot in Coney Island, based on the early photos published by E! Online on Sunday.

Jonas is attempting to launch a solo music career after a very successful run as a member of the Disney-backed "Jonas Brothers."

Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo, were photographed in an intense make-out session as they shot some scenes in Coney Island in New York. The lovebirds were wearing a gray and brown coat, respectively, to guard against the chilly winds.

Culpo, 21, could not hide her love for her boyfriend after she addressed a dedication to Jonas when she gave up her crown at the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow's Crocus City Hall. They have been dating since June of this year.

"To the very special person who puts a smile on my face every day, I can't wait to start this new chapter with you," she said.

She also posted a photo of her and Jonas embracing backstage, along with a sweet post: "To the person who puts a smile on my face every day"....1 hour until show time :) #missuniverse."

The Jonas brothers are still trying to do some shows to finish their contracts but they have already announced their future musical plans.

Nick said in a statement posted on YouTube when asked about life after the Jonas Brothers:

"I think we're all in a good place. We made the decision as a group and now I think we're each excited about our own opportunities and what can happen there. We're prioritizing being brothers first. It is a little scary and a little sad, but I think more than anything it's just a nice next step and that's what we're focusing on."

Looks like Nick Jonas is truly on his way to making a solo career!
