GTA 5 PC Release Date Delayed By PS4, Xbox One Versions? Rockstar Games Releases Statement On Next-Generation Consoles

Rockstar Games responded to a question asked by a gamer on Twitter mentioning they have not announced intentions of bringing Grand Theft Auto 5 to next-generation consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One, leaving many wondering if it is delaying the release of the game's PC version.

"Unfortunately, we have not released any information about that," Rockstar Games said in a response on Twitter.

But Rockstar Games may want to surprise their fans soon by releasing a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, the Tehran Chronicle reports.

Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version will be released in February, an Amazon employee recently revealed.

"Unfortunately we do not have an exact date for it to be in stock as of yet. You may think of to contact Rockstar for further information," the employee said, according to ModernReaders.com.

"We are expecting it next year by February, but no clear date is guaranteed for now," said the unnamed tipster."

Earlier this month, rumors suggested Rockstar Games would announce the release date for Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version on December 24 and will formally launch the game on March 12, 2014.

The rumor, received from a screenshot obstained by German gaming website Spieletipps, read as follows: "Welcome to Amazon Chat. My name is Fatima [...]. According to our informations, GTA V PC will be announced on 12/24 and according to our source, it will be released in the USA on 03/12 and here on 03/14."

The Norwegian website that listed pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version slated for March 18, 2014 has pulled their advertisements, Product-Reviews.net reports, leaving fans wondering if the rumor was false.

"We've already seen hints of its release when a Norwegian website had the GTA V for PC pre-order, which stated a March 18, 2014 release. However, it wasn't long before the listing was pulled," the website writes.

"This is not an admittance that the PC version is coming, but it does imply that they are planning some sort of announcement."
