Cable channel Mnet's dance survival show "Dancing 9" will be coming back in June with a second season.

On January 15 Mnet announced "'Season 2 of 'Dancing 9' has been confirmed. Dance candidate applications will begin on our official website on the 23rd so that we can hold a dance battle once more."

"Dancing 9" season 2 has established groups, and will have more streamlined rules. It will also be moving its broadcast time to Fridays at 11PM, which is when Mnet's popular shows "Superstar K" and "Voice Korea" once aired.

The first season of "Dancing 9" featured street dance, contemporary dance, traditional Korean dance, ballet, and dance sports. After the show's conclusion a 'Dancing 9 Gala Show' was held featuring the top ranking winners. Reportedly the show was completely sold out in just 10 minutes of ticket sales opening to the public.

The season 1 staff will once again be working on the show. With their built up knowledge of dance survival shows, they will present a 2nd season that's new and exciting.

The staff revealed, "We will try something new and broaden so that more people can see the appeal to dancing. If you love dancing then we invite you to try out for 'Dancing 9.'"
