Liverpool will face off against rival Aston Villa on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Liverpool, coming out of a 5-3 win over Stoke City, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Liverpool Manager Brendan Rodgers said he will not give up the fight to win the Premiere League, The Independent reports.

"We know that if we have got the fortune to stay clear of injury and whatnot, I would put our team up against everyone. Of course the challenge is to go fourth. Once you can do that, it is about seeing if you can go beyond that," he said, according to the site.

"If you compare us to Chelsea, for example, their characteristics are different. They have a squad that's been built over a number of years and is based on power and strength. We are still in the process of building but you don't go to Stoke and win 5-3 if you're nice."

Aston Villa, coming out of a 2-1 loss to Arsenal, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Aston Villa Manager Paul Lambert said Aston Villa are trying to sign the Wigan Athletic striker Grant Holt, The Independent reports.

"I had him [Holt] at Norwich. Holt was fantastic for me at Norwich. He's a proper guy. I have just been told the rumors are going through everywhere. Until something is concrete, we'll just have to see," he said, according to the site.

"If he comes. He may not come."
