DeMarcus Cousins Ejected From Game! Verbal Outburst Also Nets Him $ 20K Fine; Boogie Also Gets One Game Suspension For Punching![VIDEO] Will Kings’ Franchise Center Ever Mature?

DeMarcus Cousins is now a legitimate franchise player. The talented center has the perfect package of size and strength that most teams would envy. Yet, the biggest flaw in his game is not about talent-it's about staying on the court.

In a game against the Houston Rockets, Cousins was matched up against Dwight Howard, the best center in the NBA right now. The highly anticipated duel in the middle was short-lived, though.

Cousins was ejected in the third quarter for verbal abuse towards referee Courtney Kirkland. The incident was reported by SI.com:

"Cousins' ejection occurred with a little over 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter and Houston leading 73-54. Rockets center Dwight Howard stretched to finish an alley-oop dunk with Cousins underneath him. After the slam attempt missed, Cousins was called for a foul for leaning in Howard's direction, although there didn't appear to be much contact between the players.

After initially questioning the foul, Cousins was assessed a technical foul after Howard attempted his first free throw. Again, Cousins disputed that call and raised his hands as if to ask what he had done. At the next dead ball, Kings coach Michael Malone stood up for Cousins, but Cousins joined the conversation, shouting at referee Courtney Kirkland as Kings assistant coach Corliss Williamson tried to restrain him."

Because of that ejection, Cousins was also slapped with a fine of $ 20,000.

But that's not the end of it. 'Boogie' was also suspended for one game. This is a different incident within that game. SI.com had the details on that, too:

"Cousins drew the suspension for "punching" Rockets guard Patrick Beverley in the stomach less than three minutes into the game. With a little less than 10 minutes remaining in the first quarter and Sacramento leading 5-4, Beverley cut through the paint to create space for Dwight Howard to operate in isolation on the block. As he crossed the paint, swung his right fist up into Beverley's midsection, causing Beverley to flinch in pain. No foul was called on the off-the-ball action."

Cousins now has a league-best (or worst) 15 technical fouls. One more technical and he gets an automatic one-game suspension (again).

The Sacramento Kings is a young and talented team, but they need someone to keep the reins on Cousins. He won't be much help if he's not on the court.
