‘Interstellar’ Movie Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Matt Damon All Praises For Director Christopher Nolan’s ‘Most Ambitious Project!’

Matthew Mc Conaughey is now called the Golden Man of Hollywood. He has worked with the best actors and directors, and in 3 days, he may become the Best Actor of the Year. Yet, he is in total awe of his next project!

The "Dallas Buyers Club" star talked to Variety about "Interstellar." This is Christopher Nolan's latest offering, and McConaughey is playing what is presumed to be the lead role. Nolan places a premium on the element of surprise, so the actor is quite choosy with his words: "Here's what I can tell you. It's the most ambitious thing he's ever done. And he's done some ambitious stuff.

"He came up to me and said, 'Mud. I love that movie.' [Later] I sat down with him for about 2½ hours at his house. Not one word came up about "Interstellar." I walked out not sure what to think. I mean, he's not a guy who takes general meetings.

There's no f***ing around on set. He's a great problem solver. In that way, he's very indie. Here's a guy who could have whatever budget he wants - and we finished shooting early."

Matt Damon echoed the same awe and exhilaration when he spoke to MTV: "All I can say is I don't have a big part. I was just thrilled to work with Christopher Nolan and I had a blast working with him. I really had so much fun. Matthew he's the lead in the movie... talk about being in the zone, he's really just crushing everything right now and I think its just going to be great. I think it's gonna be just another big, awesome Chris Nolan movie with awesome performances from Matthew and Anne."

Another co-star from the movie, David Gyasi of "Cloud Atlas" fame, told Red Carpet News TV: "Human beings are adventurers, aren't we, and that's what were put on here to do... To go further and investigate and go beyond and I think space travel is... We had this massive push to get to the moon and it kind of stopped a little bit so... Maybe as filmmakers, everyone's going 'Come on guys, let's keep going, let's see what else is out there and see what else we can find,' and it's so vast. Years ago, it was this mad thing called the ocean that people were like 'What lies beyond?' and it's like that [space] is now our next barrier. I think that's where the fascination comes from."

The actors are fascinated, and they were actually working on the set! We can join the fascination on November 7, 2014 when the movie is released.
