Ronda Rousey Next Fight Is Floyd Mayweather? Of Course Not, But Female Fighter Said He Can Beat 'The Money'

If you are the world's most decorated and most in-demand boxer in the world, chances are you'll get challenges from different rivals, same division or not. For Floyd Mayweather, a five-division world champion, that has always been the case over the years. He is being challenged by many boxers although he thinks only few of them have the right. Up to this day, he is expecting call outs from different fighters.

On Wednesday, the 'Money' got another challenge for a fight. However, it is does not come from the person he expects.

Ronda Rousey, the world's first and current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, has bragged that he can take down the undefeated boxer in a match. Fresh from his victory over Sara McMann in the main event at UFC 170, the current  #9 pound-for-pound fighter told Power 106 FM that she could beat Mayweather in a MMA fight.

"I wouldn't even stand up, I wouldn't even be anywhere near him. I would just do like a little army crawl over there, and he would have to run away. I would just be skittering after him like the one dude in Bloodsport that was doing the whole monkey crawl fight system. I would do that. I would just bear crawl over there too low for him to hit me, and I'd tackle him down.... I spent a lot of time [on the ground], and I doubt that he does."

Of course, this fight will never happen. Mayweather, who is yet to make a comment about the female fighter's claims, would never fight in the octagon. However, in theory, Rousey's skills set can definitely knock down the 37-year old boxer.

Maybe Rousey is just itching for another fight. So far, a name is yet to be announced for her next fight. Rumors have it that Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane Justino, aka 'Cyborg, is looking to have a bout with Rousey by this year.
