Girls’ Generation ‘Mr.Mr’ Performance Is Like EXO’s Version?

Girls' Generation's "Mr.Mr." performance has been revealed, and it instills a sense of deja vu. Taeyeon sings the first part, who is then surrounded by Sooyoung. The camera then focuses on Tiffany, and in one take also captures Seohyun, Hyoyeon, and Yuri, as well as Sunny who then takes over the vocals, Yoona, and Jessica. Where did we see this before? It's the same camera technique as EXO's "Growl". The camera moved left and right to capture the girls' images in one take, making the stage look more three-dimensional. This is Girls' Generation's take on EXO.

Girls' Generation performed their new song "Mr. Mr." on Mnet's "M! Countdown", KBS' "Music Bank", MBC's "Show! Music Core", and SBS' "Inkigayo". SM Entertainment always makes sure the song and performance go hand in hand. That's why you need to see the actual performance in order to understand the song as a whole.

In accord with this type of tactic, SM songs are more dramatic than melodical. "Mr.Mr." is not as exceptional as "I Got a Boy". That's why when "Mr.Mr." was first released, it was said to be more melodical than exceptional. But now that the public's seen the performance, the song isn't just a simple song with an easy melody.

For the performance, the girls wore fedoras and black formal attire and put on a mannish look. World renown choreographer Jillian Meyers took charge of this song's choreography. Girls' Generation danced with other male dancers in their performance. But what's even more noteworthy is their masculine dance choreography. For each song since their debut, the girls have been showcasing dynamic dance moves. For "Mr.Mr." the girls have decided to show a powerful choreography, and each move has a punch packed in it. Their mannish look wasn't just for their image transformation, but to put on a great performance.
