K-Pop idols that compose their own music, like B1A4, are gaining more and more recognition in Korea.

On the first episode of KBS World's new show Million Seller, several producers and composers joined together to create songs based on average Korean people. The songs that the composer-producers create during the show will be sung by popular Korean singers. B1A4 was the only idols included on the show, highlighting the fact that the group sings self-composed songs.

B1A4's Jinyoung represented the group since he has composed around 20 songs for B1A4, including several title songs like 'What's Happening?' and 'Lonely.'

Jung Jaehyung, Don Spike, Park Myungsoo, and Jinyoung worked on composing the songs, and were teamed with Park Soohong, Eun Jiwon, Kim Junhyun, and Chang Kiha, who worked on producing. The first singer to appear on the show was Ju Hyunmi, a popular Korean trot singer.

Jinyoung's inclusion into the list of well known artists shows that idols are an accepted form of musicians in Korea, even if they are often seen as manufactured groups that perform music created by other people. Ji Hyunmi also said that Jinyoung's song was the most difficult to grasp, because it was a dreamy, unique sounding song.

The other B1A4 members also appeared on the show, and Sandeul provided the guide vocals for the song that Jinyoung and Park Soohong created, called 'Companion.'

The show began with some laughs, since Park Soohong was convinced that a girl group would be joining the show in order to even the gender ratio. The production team admitted that a pretty group would be joining, but Park Soohong was disappointed when B1A4's members stepped out of the van.

The goal is to create a song based on Korean people's stories that will sell over a million copies. The first episode shared heartfelt stories from the interviewees, but also had a lot of laughs from the cast of the show.
