Jessica Chastain, the redhead beauty of 'Zero Dark Thirty', has been all over the news with the Cannes Film Festival, whether or not she is slated for 'True Detective'... with her chiseled boyfriend on her arm. Jessica Chastain has been dating boyfriend for more than a year, but has also been keeping him under wraps. With a boyfriend this tall, handsome, successful (he's a fashion exe, by the way) and, well, Italian, why is Jessica Chastain so secretive about dating him? Could it be that the actress doesn't want to get too serious?

"Seeing all these interviews with actors talking about loves of their lives and then they break up in a year and you're thinking, 'What if something happens and they end up being a total jerk?' " says the Oscar-winning actress. "Then you forever have these pictures of you standing on the red carpets together."

What's wrong with having pictures of you and your boo forever? This sounds like she's having cold feet. Jessica Chastain may not just want to take things slowly, but to keep her relationships at an arm's length. What if they do break up? Those red carpet pictures could get very awkward very fast.

Her boyfriend, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, is an Italian-born executive of a French fashion brand called Moncler. And he has the good fashion sense to show for it. Gian and Jessica has been quite a sartorial pair at the Cannes, turning heads and attracting paparazzi wherever they go. They were seen arriving at the Nice Airport last Saturday together.

Be careful, Gian. The actress definitely has more than your relationship on her mind. As an actress out of Juilliard Drama School, she has been struggling for years in Hollywood. She finally made it in her early thirties. It's very possible that she wants to enjoy the fame and fortune that she gained so late in her career like being the face of YSL's new fragrance and acting in movies like 'The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby'.
