Brooklyn Stabbing Incident Kills NBA Star's 6-Year Old Cousin! Another Child Mortally Wounded! Manhunt For Alleged Serial Killer Sought!

A gruesome stabbing incident claimed the life of a 6-year old boy and left a 7-year old girl mortally wounded. The culprit used a butcher knife against the children.

The details of the crime from the NY Post:

"Prince Joshua Avitto, 6, and Mikayla Capers, 7, were in an elevator together when they were hacked and stabbed multiple times in the random 6 p.m. attack, law-enforcement sources said.

The young boy was found dead in the elevator of the Boulevard Houses at 845 Schenck Ave. in East New York, sources said.

The little girl, who was chased by the maniac out of the elevator on the first floor, collapsed in front of a nearby building, sources said. Mikayla was in surgery at Brookdale Hospital."

NY Daily News talked to the distraught father of Prince Joshua, or P.J. Nicholas Avitto regrets that he did not kiss his son that day: "He took my pride and joy away. I'm devastated. I'm beyond comprehension. I'm trying to understand how God works. My son is gone. That was the light of my life."

A photo of Prince Joshua Avitto was shared by Chicago Bulls star Taj Gibson's Instagram account. Gibson was actually Avitto's cousin. His words accompanying the Instagram post:
