Group BTS Makes Their Debut Onto Japan Oricon Charts At Number 6

Korean hip-hop group BTS has been going strong since their debut only a year ago.

The Bangtan Boys ranked No. 6 on the Oricon weekly single chart on June 4 with their first Japanese single "No More Dream."

The album, also titled "No More Dream," includes the Japanese version of "No More Dream," "The Rise of Bangtan" and "I Like It." Japanese rapper JM Markit reportedly helped with translating B.A.P's songs from Korean to Japanese.

BTS announced that they signed a contract with the Japanese entertainment agency Pony Canyon, officially beginning their debut in Japan.

The seven-member hip-hop group held their "Japan Official Fan Meeting Vol. 1" at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on May 31 and met with 5,000 fans.

Over 30 local media outlets attended the 3PM and 7PM concerts, which were both completely sold out.

BTS performed their hit songs including their single "No More Dream," "Boy In Luv" and more, totaling 8 performances.

"We thank you for coming to our first official fan meeting in Japan. We're soon going to be debuting in Japan, so please show us a lot of love. Let's be together for a long, long time," stated the members.

The idol group will perform at the upcoming KCON concert in downtown Los Angeles, which will be held on August 9 and 10. BTS will be joining Girls' Generation and CNBLUE.

For those who don't know, KCON is a festival held by CJ E&M to promote Korean music, movies, dramas, music, fashion and food.

The boy band was also recently invited to the "Moscow Korea Culture Festival" as the sole artists to represent Korea. The group is scheduled to leave for Russia on June 13.

BTS will be staying in Moscow for 4 days to perform for the event, which will be held to celebrate the 24th anniversary of Korea-Russia relations.
