Floyd Mayweather's next fight against Amir Khan was reportedly refused by "King Khan" as reports have disclosed that a rematch against Freddie Roach's ward, Miguel Cotto, is a big possibility for "Money."

According to ESPN, Floyd Mayweather's next fight against Amir Khan was scheduled on September but the latter has refused claiming that he would not be fully fit for the fight given it would be held around the same time as the Ramadan.

Amir Khan, an Englishman, is a practicing Muslim.

On "Money's" part, he eyes Wembley in the United Kingdom as the possible venue for his upcoming fight.

"It's been a goal to come to the UK and put on a spectacular event and the plan is to do just that," said Floyd Mayweather in an interview with The Sun.

But Amir Khan is still very excited about the possibility of being tapped as the opponent for Floyd Mayweather's next fight in the UK.

"It will be the biggest fight ever in Britain. Global interest would come to England and we'd sell out Wembley," Khan said. "I really want to bring this fight to the UK. I've fought all over the world and been top of bill but this would be so much bigger."

But another frontrunner for Floyd Mayweather's next fight opponent is Miguel Cotto, who recently won his bout against Sergio Martinez for the middleweight championship of the world.

However, "Junito's" trainer, Freddie Roach, told the Boxing Scene that "Money" may have some more excuses when talks of a possible rematch with Miguel Cotto would be brought up.

The famous trainer added that for Floyd Mayweather's next fight, "Money" needs to get in shape as age is catching up with the boxer.

"All you got to do with him [Mayweather] is just get in shape and just beat him to it all night," said Freddie Roach. "I think his legs are gone. He says he fights, he doesn't move anymore because he wants to please the fans. I think that's bullshit. I think he just can't. I think he's shot. I think he won't fight any of my guys."
