Girls' Generation member Taeyeon apologized to fans about her scandal with EXO member Baekhyun.

On June 19, Taeyeon wrote on her instagram: "Sowon, I know you guys were shocked and hurt from the scandal today. It happened because I wasn't careful - I really want to apologize to you. I'm sorry for the pain I've caused. Really..."

Taeyeon continued: "I know you guys must feel disappointed, angry, and frustrated. I'm going to take all that. I just want to apologize."

She added, "I know you all cheered and struggled for me."

Referring to the Baekhyun-related posts on Instagram, Taeyeon stated: "Some of you may think that I uploaded those pictures to ridicule fans. It was never my intention."

Previously, one media source had reported the scandal between Taeyeon and Baekhyun, posting pictures of them enjoying time in an open car. SM Entertainment had admitted that the two have maintained a close relationship and have recently started dating."

Meanwhile, Taeyeon is Girls' Generation's leader and main vocal. Baekhyun is the main vocal of EXO-K and will appear in musical "Singin' in the Rain."
