Michael Schumacher Coma Update: F1 Doctor Wary Of ‘False Hopes’ On ‘Shumi’s’ Condition; ‘Stolen’ Medical Files Now Up For Sale?

Any Michael Schumacher coma update is hard to come by as the family is not keen on giving information, however an F1 doctor warns of holding on to false hopes. In a related development, stolen medical files on Schumi's condition are reportedly being offered for sale.

Dr. Gary Hartstein, a former F1 doctor, warned everybody against clinging to "false hopes" on the chance of the seven-time F1 champion making full recovery, as Michael Schumacher coma updates continue to trickle from different fronts.

He told Germany-based Bunte magazine that fans of the driver deserve an honest evaluation of Michael Schumacher's coma condition.

"These people have earned some honesty, they do not want any beating about the bush," he said.

According to London's The Telegraph, Zurich-based neurologist Dr. Erich Riederer was also not confident that the well-loved racing champ might be able to make a full recovery.

"He (Schumacher) will remain an invalid all his life and will always remain dependent on the help of others," he told 20 Minuten of Switzerland.

In another Michael Schumacher coma update, private medical files regarding his true condition are reportedly being sold.

His manager Sabine Kehm, however, said that they still have no confirmation regarding the authenticity of the medical files. But she said those files were stolen and those responsible-including the people who will buy those stolen files-will face criminal charges.

"For several days stolen documents and data are being offered for sale. The offerer claims them to be the medical file of Michael Schumacher," Sabine Kehm's statement published on BBC read.

"We cannot judge if these documents are authentic. However, the documents are clearly stolen. The theft has been reported. The contents of any medical files are totally private and confidential and must not be made available to the public," Sabine Kehm added.
