EXO Fans Criticize 'Overdose' Cover By Nylon Pink

EXO received overwhelming fan support for their latest single "Overdose," but the same can't seem to be said about Nylon Pink's cover of the hit single.

Nylon Pink is an American rock band, described as the "only all-Asian American female band in the United States." The band frequently covers of K-pop songs from groups like 2NE1, Girls' Generation and Big Bang.

On June 23, Nylon Pink uploaded their rendition of EXO's "Overdose" to YouTube. Unfortunately, the immediate reaction to this cover has been less than desirable.

"I get they want to add their own rock edge to it, but this didn't for them at all," commented Kwawsng on YouTube. "It anything, they ruined it."

"You should've left this song alone," added Desie Rickman on the same day the cover was uploaded.

"I appreciate your hard work but this cover was a total fail," wrote Teef Anglona regarding the EXO cover. "Talented but bad choice."

"Overdose" has become the subject of many covers since its release, both in terms of choreography and the song itself.

Currently, EXO is dealing with several scandals involving various band members.

It was recently confirmed that Baekhyun and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon have been dating for several months. In addition, the currently inactive member Kris was reported to begin filming the Chinese movie "Somewhere Only We Know" in Prague, while his planned mediation with EXO's record label SM Entertainment is set to being on July 8.

"I don't know why there are so many bad things that are happening this year," wrote EXO member Tao on the Chinese social media portal Weibo on June 24.

"If you don't feel good, try smiling at yourself. Though we can't see you now, I hope that all of you who like EXO are having a good time and are happy. Whether it's now or in the future."
