Recent Manny Pacquiao news reveals the possibility that "Pacman's" bout versus Floyd Mayweather, Jr could become a reality. Meanwhile, another report suggests that the Filipino champion's next fight this November could be against Terence Crawford.

According to Delhi Daily News, boxing promoter and royalty Prince Amir Shafipour told the Gulf News that he's still in the works to bring about a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr late this year in Dubai, UAE. The prince is apparently hopefully that he can make the fight possible despite both camps' estrangement.

"I will honestly and truthfully tell you that if anyone can convince them to fight, and to fight in Dubai, I can," said Prince Amir Shafipour said of the Manny Pacquiao news.

The royalty added: "I have a lot of worldwide connections, with managers, promoters, fighters, people in the business, who speak the same language that Mayweather and Pacquiao are speaking. You have to be on the same page as them and only then will you get their attention."

Prince Amir Shafipour reportedly added that as of this time, he is coordinating with US-based boxing promoters to pull off the much-awaited "fight of the century."

"I am currently working with a major boxing promoter in the USA, who is connected to both the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps, and who has the capacity to help me pull this off. It's not a boast, it's a commitment," he said of the Manny Pacquiao news.

The three-time kickboxing champion further said that "we have shown fight fans in Dubai, the UAE, what we are capable of doing with the Global Fighting Championships."

Meanwhile, Chris Williams of boxingnews24.com reported that Top Rank commentator Larry Merchant is rooting for a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Terence Crawford.

According to the report, the WBO lightweight champion is a good match in "Pacman's" next fight considering that "Crawford would give Pacquiao huge headaches with his power and boxing ability."

Should the fight push through, Top Rank is all set for the Filipino champion's next fight slated on November in Macau, China.

However, Williams is also doubtful if Bob Arum would proceed with the proposed fight as it "would in turn decrease the value of the loser of the fight."
