What could be ailing the spaniard and his hometown girlfriend?

Rafael Nadal won ESPY’s Best Male Tennis Player for the second time this year. Maria Sharapova won the Best Female Tennis Player award at ESPY 2014.

Nadal wrote on his Twitter, “Very happy for this award! Thanks to @ESPYS and to all of you for always supporting me.”

While Maria Sharapova, Grigor Dimitrov and other sports personalities were snapping away pictures to post on their Twitter, the spaniard decided to opt out from playing the social media popularity contest. Maybe there were bigger issues plaguing the tennis player’s mind. He just spent hefty amount of time in a dudes-only vacation in Ibiza without his girlfriend Xisca. Now he is back to training for the hard court season away from his Island hometown Manacor, where his girlfriend works and lives.

According to the previous article, Rafa Nadal has been reported to say that he enjoys to spend his time off with his girlfriend on a vacation somewhere. He likes the fact that she can help him separate work from play. Because of Maria Francisca Perello’s shy nature, she prefers not to appear on red carpet and high-profile events.
