"Revenge" season 4 spoilers hinted of a happy premiere as cast Emily VanCamp teases a scene with Gabriel Mann's Nolan Ross while Victoria will try to outwit Emily Thorne to gain control over David Clarke.

Cast Emily VanCamp (Emily Thorne) tweeted potential "Revenge" season 4 spoilers when she wrote: "And we're back! Day one of #Revenge season 4 complete :) #Nolem in a Bentley. #Onlyinthehamptons."

The tweet hints of a fairly happy beginning for Emily as she thinks she already had her revenge when she destroyed the Grayson family at the end of "Revenge" Season 3.

"Unfortunately for her, we've also seen on this show time and time again that happy endings are rarely ever that. More often than not, we have seen them devolve slowly into despair thanks to terrible things happening all around our characters," according to CarterMatt.

It was earlier revealed that David Clarke is actually alive and has been in hiding, and Victoria shouldn't be counted out just because she's already in a mental institution.

Showrunner Aaron Herberts dished out "Revenge" season 4 spoilers when he told E! News that bringing David Clarke back has invigorated the show as next season will explore more the father-daughter relationship.

"The character of Emily is so central to the show and after three years of exploring her through that lens of revenge, the staff was like what new element in can come into her life that will shake her up completely and allow us to force Emily to find out who Amanda is and we realized it's her father," Harberts continued.

"Bringing David back, he's the one character out there who could really push a lot of her buttons. For us, we're always looking to do new dynamics and find something new," he said.

Co-executive producer Gretchen Berg added that that main drive of "Revenge" season 4 would be Emily's self-discovery as she figures out her "new life with her father in it."
