Iggy Azalea Leads 2014 Teen Choice Awards With ‘Fancy': Aussie Rapper Scores Five Nominations, Asks For Twitter Support As She Takes On Katy Perry, Ariana Grande And More

Iggy Azalea is leading the pack for the 2014 Teen Choice Awards! The Aussie rapper has come out on top with five nominations, ahead of the likes of Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, and Lorde.

The Mullumbimby-born "Fancy" hit maker has been nominated in the categories of Choice Summer Song, Choice R&B/Hip Hop Song, Choice Summer Music Star, Choice Style Icon and Choice Single Female Artist.

Iggy Azalea's been quick to encourage her fans to get behind her at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, hitting up Twitter to retweet a fan's message.

"@IGGYAZALEA is in many categories. Vote! (:," said @YoMegMarie, hash tagging the Twitter post #TeenChoiceAwards.

The rapper faces some tough competition in her categories, though - it's no wonder she's keen to get her Twitter followers on board! In the Choice Single Female Artist category, Iggy Azalea and her "Fancy" hit will be going head to head at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards with Katy Perry's "Dark Horse, "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel (the breakout hit from "Frozen"), "Problem" by Ariana Grande (which also happens to feature Iggy) and "Team" by New Zealand songstress Lorde.

"Fancy" sat at number one on the Billboard US charts for several weeks, only recently being bumped by MAGIC!'s "Rude". The hit has even been parodied recently by funnyman Weird Al Yankovic, who said he asked the star after a concert in Denver for permission to take on the song.

"I talked to her as she was literally walking offstage," said Weird Al, as reported by Yahoo!7. "I introduced myself, 'Hi. I'm Weird Al Yankovic and I would love to do a parody of Fancy'. The next morning I was in the studio recording."

It's been a very busy time for Iggy Azalea, with pictures emerging in the last week of the star on the set of her new "Black Widow" music video with collaborator Rita Ora.
