James Bond 24 Movie Still Looking For New Bond Girl; '12 Years A Slave' Star Chiwetel Ejiofor Gets Antagonist Role? Kate Upton Up For The Challenge

James Bond 24 movie to cast "Sports Illustrated" model Kate Upton as the new Bond girl? Being tapped as one of the sexiest women alive, it is but normal for the casting crew to consider her into playing the most coveted role.

In addition, to her blockbuster film opposite Hollywood A-lister Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann, which racked approximately $93 million earnings worldwide, a James Bond movie is certainly a great career builder for the model.

Working with the likes of Veteran actresses Diaz and Mann, Upton admitted that the project helped her a lot considering that she's still a newbie in acting.

"I was on set with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann and they were the most inspirational and amazing women I had the honor to work with. They were really helpful in my experience with the movie, and I really appreciated all of their advice and all of their encouragement throughout the movie set," Upton explained in an interview via the Inquisitr.

On that note, her recent rise to fame on the big screen made it possible for the casting crew to consider her in the upcoming James Bond 24 movie, with a working title of "Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story Of 007."

Apparently, The Sports Illustrated model is up for the role, but she admitted that she needs a lot of work to be able to fit for the role.

"It's a very prestigious title, and it would be a very cool role. I would need to go through some intense training to learn all the Bond Girl moves," Upton admitted.

However, a leaked paper from Sony suggests that the studio has been eyeing for Penelope Cruz to follow the footsteps of Halle Berry and Denise Richards in becoming the next Bond Girl.

The Sun reported that, "Bond bosses have been chasing her [Penelope Cruz] since Daniel became 007 in 2006. But schedules and her pregnancies meant it never materialised. At this stage no one at Sony will confirm it."

In other news, James Bond 24 Movie plot is set to continue from Skyfall with director Sam Mendes back to direct the film, Mendes manages to offer some teaser on what the story would hopefully be, as he told Vulture:

"Hopefully we'll reclaim some of the old irony, and make sure it doesn't become pastiche. I can't do shtick, I'm not very good at it. Unless it kind of suddenly makes sense. Does that make sense? I sometimes wish I hammed it up more, but I just can't do it very well, so I don't do it."

Empire had a chance to talk to writer John Logan to provide some juicy information on the movie regarding the James Bond 24 movie plot.

"Right now the first draft is almost done. I'm terrifically excited about it! I've been working very closely with Sam [Mendes), and it's been joyous to pick up from our work on Skyfall and just continue on with the storytelling. The new movie continues the themes of Skyfall. Some of the characters and themes that we began to introduce in Skyfall will play out, I hope successfully, in the next movie."

Logan revealed that although the James Bond franchise is not limited to Ian Flemming's novels and stories it doesn't mean that James Bond 24 movie plot will not have some of its source material taken from Flemming's.

"The great thing about Bond is that I have fifty years of movies - 23 movies and all the Ian Fleming novels and short stories, all of which are fodder. And when I'm working on the new Bond I'm constantly going back to Fleming and the other movies - what are the bits and pieces, what are the resonances? One of the things we learned in Skyfall is that the audience really enjoyed those, they enjoyed when they saw the Aston Martin, they enjoyed when we had references to things they grew up with, either from Ian Fleming or from the other movies, and that's always been a part of my thinking about Bond."
