The pair was snapped at The Chiltern Firehouse in London earlier this month with the gold bands, which fueled the tabloid speculations that Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Suki Waterhouse are engaged. Since then however, MailOnline noted, they haven't worn the matching jewelry even if they continue their long-distance love affair.

According to Look magazine, Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Suki Waterhouse are not engaged but the gold bands are a "symbol" of their commitment to each other.

The source of the magazine said that "there's been some sort of intimate thing go down between the two of them."

This intimate agreement is "very private and didn't involve a formal blessing," the source said.

The "American Sniper" actor doesn't take marriage lightly after having been married to Jennifer Esposito back in 2007 and that marriage lasted only for four months. That's why Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Suki Waterhouse being engaged is not true, the source added.

"He's not setting a huge amount of store by making it 'official,'" the magazine said. "Suki's so head over heels - and young - that she's totally cool with this more hippe arrangement."

The 39-year-old Bradley Cooper, for his part, has also thought about settling down, as he told Details magazine that having children has crossed his mind: "I really hope I have that experience in my life. I saw how much joy fatherhood gave my own dad."
