Although 'Mean Girls' cast members Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan are enemies in the hit 2004 flick, the former girlfriend of Ryan Gosling is actually in awe of the former Disney star.

In an interview with Allure magazine, the 35-year-old actress says that she is amazed by LiLo's talent: "I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing, so natural. It's just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we've got it together."

Apart from her role in 'Mean Girls' as the manipulative Regina George, McAdams hopes that her career will enable her to try different kinds of roles: "I'm hoping it's going to be complicated and have lots of dead ends and corners and sharp turns. I hope it can't be summed up too easily when I'm done."

As opposed to her positive feelings for Lohan, it was a different case for McAdams' impression with her 'The Notebook' co-star and former beau Ryan Gosling. The romantic movie's director, Nick Cassavetes, recently revealed how the two initially struggled to get along with each other.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling's dislike for each other is so intense that at some point, the 'Place beyond the Pines' actor even asked another actress to replace his leading lady. Instead of quickly giving in to the 33-year-old actor's request, Cassavetes opted to conduct a surprise therapy session.

"We went into a room with a producer, they started screaming and yelling at each other. I walked out. I smoked a cigarette and everybody came out like, 'All right let's do this'. And it got better after that, you know? They had it out," he told VH1.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling then dated for four years before calling it quits.
