Lana Del Rey may not have actually slept her way to the top, as she wrote about in her song "Fucked My Way to the Top," but it wasn't for lack of trying. Lana Del Rey recently admitted to sleeping with "a lot of guys" in the music industry, but that's not why she was signed.

In a recent interview with Complex magazine for its August/September issue, Lana Del Rey admits that she slept with a lot of music business professionals, just not the right ones. The "Summertime Sadness" singer says it didn't do much for her recording career.

Talking about her new song, "Fucked My Way Up to the Top," off her recently released album, "Ultraviolence" she said "It's commentary, like, 'I know what you think of me,' and I'm alluding to that. You know, I have slept with a lot of guys in the industry, but none of them helped me get my record deals. Which is annoying."

Del Rey used to be engaged to musician Barrie-James O'Neill. Lana was also rumored to have dated Marilyn Manson, rapper A$AP Rocky and Guns 'N Roses' Axl Rose.

"I like a physical love. I like a hands-on love. How can I say this without getting into too much trouble?" she asks. "I like a tangible, passionate love. For me, if it isn't physical, I'm not interested. ... I feel connected to two emotions -- aggression and softness. I like that luxe sound of the word 'ultra' and the mean sound of the word 'violence' together. I like that two worlds can live in one, " she explained.

Del Rey also admitted that she it's not just the nasty that her going. Del Rey says she can never get enough caffeine and has been a chain-smoker since she was 17. Even taking a cue from early rock musicans and, gasp, lighting up on stage.

"I must have 13 cups a day. It's a shame about the health consequences because a lot of great things happen over coffee and a cigarette. A lot of great songs were written," she said. "That's why I try to play mostly outdoor festivals. "Because 45 minutes into the set, when you've still got 45 more minutes to go, you need to smoke."
