‘Christ The Lord’: From Vampires To Jesus, Anne Rice's Next Movie Takes On The Life Of The Christian Deity Before His Ministry!
Anne Rice is the iconic author of The Vampire Chronicles. Her latest novel to be translated into film is "Christ The Lord: Out of Egypt." It deals with the life of Jesus Christ in his childhood years.
The most popular work of Anne Rice is still "Interview With the Vampire." The movie starred Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas and a young Kirsten Dunst. It was a minor hit, but considered a disappointment considering the extent of their ambition.
Her characters were always supernatural beings who had to struggle with being powerful and different, whether good or evil.
Her next novel projected to go on film will be "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt" which deals with the life of Jesus Christ when he was around seven to nine years old.

Of course, religion would be a controversial topic and it took a lot of time before they finally got the project together. There is a sudden upswing of religious/biblical themed movies in the past year with "Noah" and the upcoming "Exodus" among others. The trend will continue until the next couple of years, which is probably why they saw this as the perfect time to make the film.

Cyrus Nowrasteh, who directed and wrote "The Stoning of Soraya M.," is directing the project from a script that he wrote with his spouse Betsy Nowrasteh. The story follows young Jesus as he comes to discover his real identity and the truth surrounding his birth."
