Mad Men Season 7 To Feature Don Draper’s Alcoholic Demise? New Info Shows Just How Much Draper Drinks, Could Be His Downfall In Finale

According to a new study into Don Draper's drinking habits, the "Mad Men" protagonist could easily be on his way to an alcoholic demise in the finale of the hit AMC show.

Detox.net has just launched a new website and infographic entitled "Drunk Like Don Draper" - and it shows exactly how much alcohol the advertising genius actually consumes.

"Since the beginning of 'Mad Men', Don Draper and his advertising cohorts have taken televised drinking to a whole new level," explained the "Drunk Like Don Draper" website.

"From personal mini bars in nearly every office of his firm to booze-filled fancy dinners and bar stops, drinking outside the home during all hours of the day dominates much of the show."

To get the information, the group behind the website analyzed every episode of one season - in this instance, season 6 rather than the latest half of season 7 - and monitored how many drinks Don Draper knocked back.

The answer? 52 drinks were consumed on screen.

"Don has at least three glasses a day, which equals approximately ten drinks a day [because Don's idea of a standard drink is a little off], or 70 drinks a week," revealed "Drunk Like Don Draper".

The infographic also noted the negative consequences fans have already seen from Don's behavior - he "vomits at a funeral, cheats on his wife, misses events due to a hangover, and almost drowns in a pool".

Unless Don lays off the spirits, it seems like the finale of "Mad Men" could already be pre-determined - "Drunk Like Don Draper" said that at this rate of imbibing, "Don's risk of mortality is increased by 129%, and that doesn't include his smoking habit".

Only time will tell what will happen to the alcoholic protagonist of "Mad Men" - the final part of season 7 is set to air in 2015.
