Rapper and producer T.I. has slammed recent rumors that Aussie star Iggy Azalea uses ghostwriters for her lyrics.

The "Fancy" rapper has been the subject of a number of rumors that she doesn't pen her own words, and it's something T.I. was keen to address on Bijou Star TV.

"Iggy got her own ideas and thoughts that she presents to the world in her own way," T.I. said, as quoted by Billboard.

T.I. mentioned that Iggy Azalea's style was unique, and he "ain't no ghostwriter" for her.

"I couldn't write a lot of the shit she say, you know?," T.I. said. "I couldn't put her thoughts into words as articulate as she does. You know what I'm saying? She just has a different way of presenting herself and her art."

The ghostwriter rumors escalated after this year's BET awards, when many suspected that Iggy was the person Nicki Minaj referred to in her acceptance speech.

"What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it," said Nicki during her speech.

Along with the ghostwriter rumors, the Mullumbimby-born rapper has recently been the subject of a diss track by Californian rapper Madd Mary.

Not impressed by Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" hit and other releases, Madd Mary rapped that she was "about to knock [Iggy] off [her] pedestal".

"When you claimed to be the realest it had me in stitches, nothing about you is authentic, what the hell are you sniffing," rapped Mary. "You talk it, we live it, you moderately gifted mimic, parasitic, synthetic, expressionless gimmick."

Madd Mary's diss track - "Eff Iffy (Iggy Azalea Diss)" - has an accompanying NSFW video, and it's just as harsh on the "New Classic" as the track itself. The graphic video depicts Mary stabbing an effigy of Iggy Azalea, complete with a long blonde wig. Burning images of Azalea also feature heavily.

Iggy Azalea has not issued any official response to the diss track or video.
