‘Gotham’ TV Series Cast Jada Pinkett Smith Haunting As Fish Mooney; Superhero Not In Sight For Season 1

"Gotham" TV series cast Jada Pinkett Smith is both haunting and scary as Fish Mooney, an original character created by the show's writers, as no superhero will come to save the day for season one.

"I'm very excited about that (character) because she's quite unique but I think I'm going to surprise people with how I play this particular villain and her vicious ways," "Gotham" TV series cast Jada Pinkett Smith told Arsenio Hall in the "Arsenio Hall Show."

Creator Bruno Heller told TVLine: "If there is a superhero in the show, it's [the city of] Gotham. It's a larger-than-life character."

He added that ordinary humans doing heroic things are more interesting that superheroes."Superheroes do the impossible and drama is really about the physically possible. This is about people and people trying to overcome real problems as opposed to trying to learn how to fly," he said.

Fox has released another promo video featuring "Gotham" TV series cast Jada Pinkett Smith and a young detective Jim Gordon getting a creepy welcome from the show's villains. The video also showed flashes of the main villains like Selina Kyle or Catwoman and Robin Lord Taylor or The Penguin.

The teaser also featured the tagline, "The good, the evil, the beginning."

Earlier, E! News revealed "Gotham" TV series spoilers after uploading a new promo which previewed the tragedy that drew the future Batman and the future Gotham police commissioner closer.

Bruno Heller said the pilot episode is going to be about Penguin and his rise to villainy, as well as his spat with Fish Mooney.

"You have to front-load the pilot with the best that you've got. You have to open big," executive producer Bruno Heller said Sunday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

However, that's not going to be the case every episode since they will be "far more careful with how we roll out the villains and in what way."
