"Hawaii Five-0" season 5 cast Nick Jonas releases his new single "Chains" and now the tabloids are buzzing about the song as a metaphor, and the Jonas Brothers' breakup ultimately led to him finding happiness.

According to the new report by PageSix, "Hawaii Five-0" season 5 cast Nick Jonas' new single says a lot about what he felt all those years being a member of a group along with his brothers.

"Nick has spent years experiencing a burden that's hard to explain. He's not blaming anyone for it; it's just what fame does to people, especially at a young age," the report said.

"He feels free now for the first time in his life. He's making music he believes in. He's done apologizing for everything and trying to be perfect. He's just going to be himself; if people like him, great, if not, he's done giving a s - - t," the publication added.

"Hawaii Five-0" season 5 cast Nick Jonas also talked about the single released a year after the Jonas Brothers' breakup to E! News. "I found my way to connect to the song. I found it was really true and real. For me, it embodies that feeling of being trapped in a love that is kind of doomed," he said.

"Part of my process of writing and making music is that it helps me not feel that way anymore. You get it out of your system. Some people write in their journals, some people talk to somebody. For me it's making music. I think it's a helpful way to process things," he added.

In describing "Chains," PerezHilton said that it's very different from the music that fans of the boy band group were accustomed to prior to the Jonas Brothers' breakup.

"Nick J got rid of anything and everything pop related and traded it all in for a more mature sound," it said. "It certainly fits the new, adult and more developed persona he's trying to embody nowadays."
