It looks like Bieber is taking a page from the Robin Thicke playbook in a bid to capture the attention of the former Disney starlet.

Robin Thicke recently dropped a whole album of apologies to his ex-wife, Paula Patton. The album, "Paula," was a mea culpa that cut through the "Blurred Lines" of their crumbling marriage.

Justin Bieber has been busy in the studio and late Wednesday, the "Beauty and a Beat" singer teased his fans with 15-second snippets of the new songs by posting 11 videos on his Instagram.

Along with the Instagram teasers, Justin Bieber tweeted that he had a "great night in the studio."

The pop star debut songs seem to hint at a growing maturity in his songwriting. The Bieb didn't include a playlist, and only named one of the songs in a caption reading "Cold Waters."
