Tara Reid Says `Sharknado’ Is A Cautionary Tale: `It Actually Can Happen’; Pack a Chainsaw and a Spare Ian Ziering for the Next Perfect Storm

Tara Reid has never been accused of being a major brainiac, but who knew that she wasn't acting when she played Melody Valentine, the sweet but dumb blonde drummer in the pop rock brainwashing film "Josie and The Pussycats."

It looks like Tara Reid, who isn't actually playing a shark in the SyFy channel Sharknado franchise, gets her education from screenplays. The American Pie actress says Sharknado is a cautionary tale because a sharknado storm may lie in our future.

In an interview with QG magazine Tara Reid warned"You know, it actually can happen. I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually. Which is crazy. Not that it-the chances of it are, like, you know, it's like probably 'pigs could fly.' Like, I don't think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado."

The next time there's a storm brewing, you might want to bring more than an umbrella. Other Sharknado stars were quick to lend their own advice.

Ian Ziering, who plays a character named Fin in the upcoming Sharknado sequel, as opposed to playing the fin of a shark in the film, told GQ "The most terrifying tornado would be probably be full of lawyers. Get yourself the biggest, badass chainsaw you can find and hope for the best," Zierling said.

Mark McGrath is a new character in the second Sharknado movie. He advises people that a chain saw is not enough. Go to your local Wal-Mart and pick up your own personal Ian Zierling.

McGrath warns that people "have to stay calm, OK? Because everybody else is freaking out. And you have to be good friends with Ian Ziering. If you're part of Ian's group, you got a fifty/fifty chance of survival."

"Sharknado 2: The Second One" premieres on Aug. 21. Besides Tara Reid, Ian Ziering and Mark McGrath, Vivica A. Fox and Kari Wuhrer have joined the cast.
